Dear, Mindee Lieske/ Crimson Quill

My name is Tempess Johns. Right now I am currently attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana PA. As a student studying in the Interior Design field. I’ve come to the university with big inspirations and desires to meet and join things over the years in college. Coming into research writing 202 class I didn’t know what to expect from the course or my professor Marlen Harrison. Entering the class for the first time he got straight to the point and told us that the work load was going to be heavy. It was my choice to stay in the class or withdraw so I decided to take the challenge.
Starting out the semester was a struggle because the professor did things differently. In the beginning the work load was heavy to cover all the work so by the time we had finals the work would be easier. I must admit the process was hard but I got it done.
The topic I chose to do more research on was about dreams and its association with interior designers. Me being an interior design major I often receive ideas from my dreams then incorporate them in my designs. My research was to find out if other designers could relate to me and what the word “Dream” meant to them. In the very beginning of the paper I struggled to put my entire thought on the paper and finding enough articles. By my methods and results section my paper started to come together and I felt a little better about my topic. After the first few peer reviews I felt even more comfortable about what I have written. The feedback was useful and I loved the criticism that I was receiving because it should me that the person took their time to read my paper. This helped me out in the long run by making my research paper sound better for the final draft.
Overall I think that I got my point across about what my topic was all about. To have my reader understand how designers and dreams relate to one another. I feel as though my hard work has paid off by the final draft. I did learn a lot in this class that will be helpful for my future career but most of all to not procrastinate. I truly appreciate this class and the professor who taught it.
Thank You for taking out the time to read my paper I hope you enjoy it. I hope to hear from you.

Sincerely, Tempess Johns
